Job Description:
Empowerment Home Care is seeking compassionate and experienced in-home caregivers to provide non-medical support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. As part of our dedicated team, you will help clients maintain their independence and quality of life by assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and engagement in activities.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients follow their prescribed care routines.
- Offer mobility support, such as transferring clients and helping with walking or using mobility aids.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to the appropriate team member.
Requirements:
- Previous caregiving experience (minimum of 1 year required).
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be registered with the State of California as a Home Health Aide (preferred but not required).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, reliability, and a strong commitment to client care.
