Position Overview
The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a key role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional healthcare environment. This position is responsible for patient scheduling, managing inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with healthcare providers to enhance the overall patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in customer service, contributing to a smooth operational flow within our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding visits and treatment plans.
- Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and direct communications to the appropriate staff.
- Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations as needed.
- Process patient payments, including copays and outstanding balances.
- Manage medical records requests and prescription refill assistance.
- Support administrative operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a medical office setting (required).
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (required).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures (preferred).
- Experience with insurance verification (required).
- Certification in medical office administration or a related field is a plus.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM β 5:00 PM
