About the Role
We’re looking for a career-driven, Type A personality who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This is a high-growth, high-exposure opportunity for a Fund Accountant to take full ownership of responsibilities in a dynamic firm that recently launched a new fund and credit facility.
This role is perfect for someone early in their career who wants a soup-to-nuts role with significant exposure across five different businesses and 25 entities. If you’re coming from public accounting with PE/hedge fund clients or fund administration with strong fund accounting knowledge, we want to hear from you!
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll report directly to the Controller, collaborating with teams across finance, credit, legal, investments, and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities
âś” Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare, audit, and post journal entries with ongoing analysis and corrections.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Prepare and review fair value financial statements quarterly and annually.
- Manage cash flow and general ledger throughout the full lifecycle of loans.
âś” Investor & Loan Management
- Prepare and analyze monthly wires, ACH payments, and investor/borrower statements.
- Oversee 1099s, Federal and State tax compliance.
- Work with banks and fund administrators to reconcile positions and cash breaks.
- Participate in loan lifecycle activities, including booking new transactions and tracking principal/interest payments.
âś” Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies in financial reports and propose corrective actions.
- Support automation projects and process enhancements.
What We’re Looking For
âś… 2-4 years of fund accounting or fund audit experience (public accounting with PE/hedge fund clients or fund admin experience preferred)
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus)
âś… Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
âś… Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & QuickBooks
âś… Real estate accounting experience is a plus
✅ Technically savvy—quick to learn new software
âś… Occasional travel may be required
