We’re partnering with a dynamic investment firm in Westport, CT to find a Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing team. This is a newly created, high-impact position designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work closely with investments, fund structures, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting for complex fund structures, including distressed real estate vehicles and affiliated entities
- Analyze transactions and deal documentation to ensure accurate accounting and accruals
- Prepare and review financial workpapers related to capital movements, investment activity, valuations, and expenses
- Manage performance reporting and client deliverables with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with third-party fund administrators and review their outputs
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and acting as a key liaison
- Partner with investment teams for financial insights and ad hoc analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting (public accounting or fund admin preferred)
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excel proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
