Position: High School Math Teacher
Location: ELITE Public Schools – Vallejo, CA
Start Date: August 2025
Status: Full-Time | Exempt
Grade Level: 9–12
ELITE Public Schools is seeking a passionate, mission-driven Math Teacher to join our high school team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to see the relevance of mathematics in their everyday lives and empower them to build strong foundations in algebra, geometry, statistics, and beyond. At ELITE, we believe in developing future leaders who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and confident learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in mathematics (Algebra I/II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, etc.)
- Implement engaging, rigorous lessons that promote mathematical reasoning and real-world application
- Monitor student progress using data and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
- Build a strong, positive classroom culture rooted in ELITE’s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, and Relationships
- Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders to support student growth
- Communicate regularly with families to celebrate success and address challenges
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Valid California Single Subject Credential in Mathematics OR intern-eligible status
- Knowledge of CA Math Standards and effective instructional strategies
- Commitment to educational equity and belief in the potential of all students
- Strong classroom management and a growth mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
- Experience working in urban education or charter schools is a plus
