Job Title: Finance Controller
Reports To: Director of FP&A
We are seeking a Finance Controller to lead and manage financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficiency in all fiscal activities. This role involves financial planning, cash flow management, budgeting, and overseeing accounting functions, while also collaborating with remote international teams supporting financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, billing, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Ensure timely financial reporting, including cash flow management, budget forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Monitor and manage inventory movements, ensuring proper controls and risk mitigation.
• Handle international transactions, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit line management.
• Lead ERP system enhancements for financial and inventory reporting accuracy.
• Maintain banking relationships and oversee credit assessments for new customers.
• Ensure state and corporate tax compliance, including payroll taxes, sales & use tax filings.
• Support M&A activities, financial audits, and due diligence processes.
• Manage insurance policies and claims, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are in place.
• Lead a finance and accounting team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to financial policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Strong foundation in financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
• Expertise in ERP systems (Syspro and QuickBooks preferred).
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel capabilities.
Experience & Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, or CA preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in sales-driven organizations, manufacturing, or distribution environments is a plus.
