Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Helper to join our team on construction sites. The ideal candidate will assist skilled electricians in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Support high voltage installations and ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Help in building electrical panels and other components as directed by senior electricians.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
- Follow all safety regulations and practices to promote a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Electrical Helper or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of NEC standards is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites is beneficial.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
