We are currently seeking a dedicated Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. As a transportation contractor, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients in reaching their medical appointments safely and comfortably.
**Responsibilities:**
- Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from medical appointments, rehabilitation centers, and healthcare facilities within the designated area.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly, supportive, and professional demeanor throughout the transportation process.
- Ensure the timely arrival and departure of appointments to accommodate patients' schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and safety standards while driving.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the passengers.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
**Requirements:**
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must have own reliable and well-maintained transportation, capable of accommodating passengers comfortably.
- Ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical examination and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when dealing with individuals with medical needs.
- Punctuality and reliability are crucial for this role.
