Duties & Responsibilities :
- Mitigation and Repair Estimating
- Mitigation and Repair Negotiation
- Estimate Revisions
- Change Orders
- Claims / Adjuster Approvals
Day-To-Day Tasks
1. Prepare Estimates :
Use Xactimate software to create detailed and accurate estimates for repairs and replacements.
Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and insurance guidelines.
2. Collaborate with Stakeholders :
Communicate with insurance adjusters, contractors, and property owners to gather necessary information and clarify details.
Provide updates and explanations to clients regarding the estimation process and findings.
3. Review Insurance Policies :
Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and eligibility for claims.
Ensure estimates align with policy terms and conditions.
4. Document Findings :
Maintain organized records of all inspections, estimates, and communications.
Prepare comprehensive reports to support insurance claims.
5. Customer Service :
Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Provide guidance and support throughout the claims process.
6. Stay Updated :
Keep abreast of changes in building codes, construction methods, and insurance regulations.
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
7. Quality Control :
Review and verify the accuracy of estimates before submission.
Ensure all documentation is complete and meets company standards.
8. Follow-Up :
Monitor the progress of claims and follow up with relevant parties as needed.
Ensure timely resolution of claims and client satisfaction.
Success in this seat looks like :
You will be successful in this role if your background and capabilities includeMinimum of 1 year of experience with Xactimate software. Proven experience in estimating insurance claims on residential and commercial properties. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and insurance regulations. High attention to detail and accuracy.
