Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of both fiscal and medical management within a dental setting. This role requires a proactive approach to managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing clinic systems for efficiency.
Duties
- Manage the overall operations of the dental office, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise staff, including dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting to maintain the clinic's financial health.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and other regulatory requirements related to dental practices.
- Implement and maintain efficient systems for patient scheduling, record keeping, and inventory management using eClinicalWorks or similar software.
- Coordinate human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution among staff members.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care and effective communication within the clinic.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance patient satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing a dental clinic or similar healthcare facility is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management principles relevant to healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with medical management practices and regulations applicable to dental offices.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record systems is an advantage.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A background in nursing or other healthcare professions is a plus but not required.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, staff, and external partners.
