Are you passionate about building your career as a Licensed Massage Therapist and looking for a new opportunity? MPOWER Performance Institute is looking for Massage Therapist at our new Brentwood location. We have as needed positions available!
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Evaluate, treat clients, and complete appropriate documentation in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate with therapists and physicians regarding the treatment and progress of their patients
- Manage multiple clients and fully invest in their wellness
- Maintain knowledge of client and patient management software and other computer software as it relates to job functions
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
- Maintain patient confidentiality; comply with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
- Maintain Massage Therapy license in the state of Tennessee
- Build, grow and maintain sustainable clientele
- Work with Facility Managers regarding ways to continually make MPOWER’S Massage Therapy Program better
- Implement massage therapy processes with fellow massage therapists
- Play an active role in recruitment and training as needed
- Submit accurate and timely tip reporting
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work may be performed in a remote office setting per the terms and conditions listed in the Telework Policy and Team Member Handbook.
- Requires full range of body motion including handing and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination along with visual acuity and hearing are required
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting and walking are required for this position
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally / Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time
- Must be able to withstand physical and emotional stress
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Current certification through an accredited program of Massage Therapy
- Massage Therapist license must be in the state of Tennessee
- Two years of professional massage therapy experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to manage multiple clients and fully invest in their wellness
- Working knowledge of basic human anatomy and general orthopaedic conditions
- Must have experience in therapeutic and relaxation massage
- Experience working with orthopedic physicians and physical therapists
- Must be motivated and a quick learner
- Available during weekdays, Saturdays and after hours
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Good communication skills and the ability to perform client education duties
- Neat, professional appearance
