Description
Elite Sports Medicine Orthopedics provides patient-driven, integrative care for people experiencing musculoskeletal pain and disability. At the practice’s locations in Nashville, Brentwood, and Franklin, Tennessee, Elite’s team of board-certified orthopedic specialists deliver outstanding care to patients from all walks of life. We are currently looking for a Patient Transporter.
The Patient Transporter will assist with the transportation of patients to and from exam rooms from various locations such as X-ray, MRI, etc.
Patient Transporter Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients from the exam room/waiting room to the appropriate location (i.e. X-ray, MRI, therapy, parking areas etc.)
- Verify patient name and ordered exam
- Ensure patients are properly dressed for exam
- Return patients to the exam room or waiting room after exam has been completed
- Assist techs with retrieving necessary imaging equipment, cleaning exam rooms after patient exams and at the end of the day.
- Escort patients to and from the parking areas that require wheelchair assistance
- Ensure Elite wheelchairs are returned to the appropriate storage location

- Always, maintain the highest level of service and professionalism in communicating with patients and their families, referring physicians and their office staff, vendors, fellow team members of Elite Sports Medicine or MPOWER Performance Institute and all others with whom contact is made while working
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, OSHA and other compliance guidelines established by regulation or by the Practice
- Attend annual OSHA and risk management training programs
- Complete all required annual training programs
- Adhere to the Team Member Handbook and other policies and procedures as they are developed
- Perform other tasks and projects assigned by manager
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma required
- Experience working in a medical setting- preferred
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Neat and professional appearance
