Electrical Maintenance Mechanic
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Responsible for making repairs and corrections to machinery to insure the smooth running of bakery equipment.
Job Duties :
Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled to keep machinery in optimal condition
Performs repairs and corrections to machines as directed by the Head Maintenance Mechanic including welding
Promptly responds to calls from Production managers' assistance
Perform diagnostic work
Notifies Head Maintenance Mechanic when outside vendor assistance is necessary
Informs Head Maintenance Mechanic of timing issues when extensive repairs required
Assist in keeping proper inventory of parts
Notify Supervisor of any deviations, difficulties and inventory issues
Abide by all GMPs, Personal and Food Safety Rules
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
2-3 years previous Maintenance Mechanic experience in a Food, Food Packaging or Bakery setting preferred
1-2 years electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
Possess understanding and fundamentals of electrical diagnosis, general concepts of hydraulics and pneumatics
Knowledgeable in the bakery process including timing issues preferred
Knowledgeable in measuring device
Knowledge of proper parts needed in various machines
Physical Requirements :
Able to stand for up to 12 hours while working with & around machinery in an assembly line process
Able to work in temperatures from 90-110 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity levels as high as 98%
Able to stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas
Able to lift 60 pounds once an hour and 10 to 50 pounds repeatedly
Able to push and / or pull wheeled carts of 100 to 500 pounds on a regular basis
Able to sweep, mop and do general wipe-down cleaning
Will train on 1
shift then move to 2
or 3rd shift
32.00-35.00 / hr DOE
Plus $1.25 / hr shift Differential when working between 3pm-7am)
PLUS OT (up to 20 hours per week)
HS Degree or equivalent of Experience
Must pass Mechanical test with 70%
Background Check / Drug Test / Physical
