QC Coordinator / Quality Control
Key Responsibilities :
Record Review & Verification
Review QC and production records from the previous production date for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company SOPs, HACCP plans, and regulatory requirements.
Verify critical control points (CCPs) and supporting documentation to ensure adherence to established HACCP plans.
Identify discrepancies, deviations, or non-conformances in records and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve them.
HACCP & Regulatory Compliance
Monitor HACCP records, ensuring that all required checks and verifications are performed and documented properly.
Assist in the investigation of any HACCP deviations, corrective actions, and preventive measures, documenting all findings and resolutions.
Quality Control Inspections
Compile and review QC inspection reports, verifying that inspections are conducted according to company and regulatory standards.
Work closely with production and QA teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and monitor ongoing compliance.
Internal Audits
Coordinate and schedule internal audits, including audits of production areas, documentation, and quality systems.
Develop audit checklists and facilitate the audit process; follow up with department leads to ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.
SQF Program Support
Collaborate with the QA Manager and cross-functional teams to maintain and update the SQF program, ensuring all documentation, procedures, and policies meet the latest SQF requirements.
Stay current on SQF code changes and communicate updates to relevant staff; support continuous improvement initiatives for SQF certification.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain organized, up-to-date files of all QC, HACCP, and production records.
Prepare regular reports on quality metrics, audit findings, and corrective action status for management review.
Training & Support
Provide training to staff on proper recordkeeping practices, HACCP procedures, and quality standards as needed.
Support other QA functions and special projects to enhance overall food safety and quality performance.
Requirements :
Experience : 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or related field within the food manufacturing industry; SQF and HACCP experience highly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills :
Familiarity with HACCP principles, SQF standards, and food safety regulations (e.g., USDA, FDA).
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or similar software.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Combination of office and production floor.
