What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Elite Staffing?
Warehouse Associate
Duties :
Picking and packing orders with high accuracy
Assemble Parts and label / package for stock / orders
Un-assembling and assembling items such as wheelchair upholstery & components
Install wheelchair accessories
Palletize orders for shipment
Organize and process documentation for LTL shipments
Schedule LTL shipments
Load and unload vehicles
Utilize material handling equipment such as hand truck, platform truck, pallet jack and cherry picker (Wave) while following all safety rules and regulations
Maintain warehouse cleanliness
Once hired will be doing deliveries in the Chicagoland area using vans and box truck
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED
Must have valid driver’s license (might deliver items when permanent)
1 years previous warehouse experience preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills required
Knowledge of creating & scheduling LTL shipment preferred
Knowledge of material handling equipment
Basic hand & power tools experience (screwdriver, drills, etc.)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Detail oriented
Willingness to learn
Physical Demand :
Regularly lift and / or move up to 50lbs, occasionally lift and / or move up to 100lbs with 2 people
Stand for 8 hours
18 / hour
8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm (Mon – Fri)
