Foreman - Job Summary
Elite Steel Builders, in business since 2011, is seeking a full-time Foreman to join our leadership team of erectors, erecting, and repairing three (3) types of the commercial/residential buildings: red iron, pole buildings, and steel tube. We employ our skilled labor force year-round. We are looking for a highly motivated Foreman for long-term positions, someone who may be looking to advance their careers in a growing company expanding into a variety of construction fields.
Foreman - Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the planning, staging, installation, assembly, and erection of steel components in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful work environment. Manage/Report daily payroll time. The foreman position is a working position.
Foreman - Qualifications
- 5 years construction, roofing, sheathing, windows, doors (overhead, and walk), framing, experience preferred (will train)
- 2 year construction crew leadership experience preferred
- Background in construction is a plus
- Good driving record required
- Good communication skills a plus
- Good customer service skills

Job Duties *
- Meet at shop or job site in morning, Monday-Friday (some Saturday’s may be required), go over job details/safety meeting
- Load up company truck and trailer for assigned job with appropriate materials, must have valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
- Done around 5pm daily.
- Company uniform, truck, trailer, and tools provided.
- Consult blueprints, designs, and client instructions to develop construction plans for your team
- Manage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans, and safety codes
- Create employee schedules with Operations Manager, and enforce schedule to meet construction timelines
- Other duties as requested
- NOTE: Out-of-town work is required from time to time, and Pre-Employment/random drug testing are conditions of employment.
