Certified Assisted Living Manager - CALM

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assisted Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our assisted living / personal care home in New Braunfels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care and leadership, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care while maintaining their dignity and independence. This role requires a commitment to resident rights and the ability to foster a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the assisted living facility, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure that all resident care plans are developed, implemented, and regularly updated in accordance with individual needs.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure that staff is trained in proper medication management protocols.
• Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs within the facility.
• Lead, mentor, and support staff members to create a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and community resources to enhance the quality of life for residents.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to long-term care and assisted living.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior care management or related fields such as social work or nursing home administration.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team building and staff development.
• Knowledge of resident rights, medication administration protocols, and best practices in assisted living care.
• Experience working in group homes or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors.
• Relevant certifications or licenses in nursing or assisted living management are advantageous. C.A.L.M. preferred.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• Weekends as needed
