Elite Surface Infrastructure Overview
Elite Surface Infrastructure (ESI) is a growing company located in Englewood Colorado and has been working along the Colorado front range since 1998. ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.
POSITION SUMMARY
Conduct and fill out site safety inspections of all job sites. Have a good understanding of OSHA regulations that pertain to all ESI scopes of work. Report all findings to Safety Manager. This position will work closely with the Field Supervisors and Field Personnel. This position is responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with customers and employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Site Inspections
- Perform site inspections with the Site Supervisor at all active job sites
- Must have knowledge of OSHA regulations that pertain to all ESI scopes of work
- Properly document and file all inspections
- Report all deficiencies to Safety Manger, issue reprimands as directed
- Follow up with Site Supervisors after corrective action has been taken, document and file all corrected deficiencies
- PPE
- Fulfill requests as they are submitted
- Monitor and stock inventory and report order needs to Safety Manager proactively
- Ensure proper PPE is always being used
- Specialty Safety Equipment
- Track and issue all shared specialty safety equipment
- Monthly inspection of all specialty safety equipment, report calibration/inspection needs to Safety Manager proactively
- Field Equipment
- Inspect field equipment to ensure all built in safety devices are functioning
- Drug/Alcohol Testing
- Assist Safety Manager/Site Supervisors with transport of employees to and from random and post-accident drug/alcohol screens
- Report any suspicious behavior, activities, comments to Safety Manager
- Fire Extinguishers
- Complete monthly and annual inspections of all fire extinguishers throughout the company
- Maintain a record of all inspections
- Exchange noncompliant extinguishers as needed
- Monitor and stock inventory and report order needs to Safety Manager proactively
- Training
- Assist Safety Manager with onsite training as directed
- Assist with in class safety trainings as directed by the Safety Manager
- Accident Investigation
- Work with Safety Manager to document and investigate accidents
- Report all findings to the Safety Manager
- Additional Duties
- Perform any additional duties needed as issued by the Safety Manager
- Training Certifications that may be provided by ESI
- OSHA 30 – Required within 90 days of start

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Other Requirements: Clean Driving record and the ability to pass a background investigation, and drug screening. Able to access State & Federal Facilities. Bilingual a plus.
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: 3 Years of Construction experience
Requirements: Meet the requirements under FMCSA for a qualified driver to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle which include Part 391.11 Subpart B (b)(2) "Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records". (CDL NOT required)
