Senior JD Edwards Business System analyst - Finance

We are seeking a JD Edwards Business Analyst with a strong background in Finance Modules such as G/L, A/R, A/P, F/A, Intercompany Accounting, and Manufacturing Accounting to join our global team based in Rockford, IL. In this position, you will evaluate and enhance technical systems, assist end-users, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting business analysis and design, troubleshooting problems, performing system and integration testing for enhancements, implementing those enhancements, configuring system settings, and creating cost-effective solutions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, developing, supporting, and executing system, integration, and regression testing cycles in alignment with release design specifications.

Job Description:

· Utilizing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE 9.2) to oversee Finance processes including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, intercompany accounting in a multi-currency environment, budgeting, job costing, and project costing, as well as procure-to-pay processes like voucher match automation alongside knowledge of manufacturing accounting.

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficiency of finance and costing operations.

· Demonstrating understanding of bank integrations and related automation for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation.

· Configuring and maintaining financial systems, which includes AAI setup, adding new companies, warehouses, or manufacturing facilities, as well as managing Distribution and Manufacturing Automatic Accounting Instructions (DMAAI), etc.

· Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues identified in various financial integrity reports within the JDE system.

· Providing training and support to end-users on JDE Finance functionalities, including month-end, year-end, and 1099 processing.

· Analyzing data and generating reports to track key performance indicators and pinpoint areas for improvement.

· Participating in system upgrades, tools upgrades, and enhancements associated with JDE finance, distribution, and manufacturing modules.

· Keeping abreast of industry best practices and trends in finance technology to maximize the benefits of the JDE system.

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Providing support for primary-use applications and functional areas within the Business Solutions team.

· Acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert in one or two business functions such as Financial Modules, Inventory Costing, Job Cost, Project Cost, Manufacturing Accounting, Sales Order Processing, Procure to Pay, and Supply Chain or Inventory Management.

· Continuously expanding your knowledge of business functions to remain current with industry trends and best practices.

· Engaging in the analysis and design of system solutions, providing guidance to development teams while following a standardized SDLC model from concept through to analysis/requirements, development, quality assurance, implementation, and decommissioning.

· Evaluating the impact of proposed solutions on the business, developing use cases to illustrate and clarify business requirements/specifications for the IT team, and contributing a business perspective during design reviews.

· Applying ITIL-type methodologies to manage both functional and technical issues, handling incident management, assisting in technical investigations to identify root causes, and formulating mitigation plans for user processes.

· Analyzing and recommending enhancements to business processes and technology, as well as designing and implementing training for customers, help desk personnel, and system developers on both new and existing processes.

· Managing issue resolution with appropriate urgency, mediating and resolving conflicts among customers, help desk personnel, and developers. Escalating concerns to management and senior leadership when necessary.

· Independently overseeing small projects, guiding application, infrastructure, and business resources using the SDLC model.

· Developing and nurturing strong relationships with business and technical partners, as well as customers, to improve system efficiency and IT support.

· Being prepared for both domestic and international travel as needed (less than 15%).

· Performing additional projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma accompanied by 10 years of specialized experience.
• Over 5 years of experience as a business analyst within a multi-location organization operating continuously (ideally in a GxP and Distribution setting).
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, supporting ERP applications in a global context that includes multiple manufacturing and distribution centers operating 24/7.
• Solid understanding of business processes, system development, and process enhancement.
• Strong capability in collecting business requirements, creating process flows, and developing use cases.
• Experience in modeling and mapping current and future business processes.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Costing, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards tools such as Watch List, E1Pages, Orchestrations, Form Extensions, and UDOs.
• Ability to assist with potential mergers and acquisitions proposals.
• Experience in Hubble/DAS Reporting.
• Understanding of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integrations.
• Experience in Project Management.
