What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Elite Technologies Inc?
Description
The Mechanical Assembler Technician is responsible for installing components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. The Technician will also perform mechanical tasks as they apply to production or repairs of equipment / product and engage in diagnosing and troubleshooting as required. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and manufacturing background, experience following standards and reading prints, and thrive in a fast pace repetitive environment.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Read blueprints and assemble items to customer specifications while maintaining high quality and efficiency.
- A willingness to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to use tools such as torque wrenches, impact gun, stainless tube bender, threading machine and other basic tools required for the job.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Experience: I year plus in a fabrication shop
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to life 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Visual and auditory acuity
