Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Infant Teacher for our Infant Room at Elite Tots Learning Academy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with infants, ensuring their safety, and fostering a nurturing environment for their growth and development. This role involves caring for infants, performing cleaning duties, and complying with the Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care and attention to each infant, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all infants in your care.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate the infants' growth and development.
- Monitor and document infants' progress and behavior, adhering to Texas Minimum Standards.
- Change diapers, feed infants, and assist with nap time routines, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.
- Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic and organized classroom and facility.
- Collaborate with parents and communicate effectively to ensure each infant's individual needs are met.
- Maintain open and regular communication with the lead teacher and other staff members.
- Support the lead teacher with other duties as assigned, including preparing materials and setting up activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in daycare, childcare, or a related field is preferred, especially with infants.
- Knowledge of infant development principles and best practices.
- Ability to manage infants' needs effectively and compassionately.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
- Background in special education or babysitting is beneficial.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to the Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers.
- A passion for nurturing and caring for infants.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in early childhood development is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
