Position Overview:As a Medium Duty Technician at Elite Towing, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining medium-duty tow trucks and equipment. Whether you are working on-site or in the garage, you'll play an integral role in ensuring our fleet is always ready to respond to service calls. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working on vehicles and wants to be part of a respected towing operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on medium-duty tow trucks, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on medium-duty trucks and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, operational, and compliant with industry regulations.
- Repair or replace parts and components as needed.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform roadside repairs when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide timely and efficient towing services.
Qualifications:
- Experience working as an automotive or medium-duty technician, with a focus on trucks or heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and towing equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
