Elite Treatment Center’s mission is to help individuals reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction to alcohol and other drugs and to reduce the incidence of addiction in future generations. We are an agency committed to individuals with substance use disorders. The Substance Use Counselor at Elite provides critical alcohol and other drug assessment and referral services to clients.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Substance Abuse Counselor provides individual counseling, group counseling and case management services to participants with a primary diagnosis of Opioids Use Disorder (DSM-5).
- RESPONSIBILITIES: *
· Maintain participant records in accordance with agency, SUPR and CARF standards.
· Conduct screening interviews and biopsychosocial assessments to determine if participant meets criteria for SUD and admission to MAT (DSM-5 and ASAM).
· Conduct comprehensive treatment plan, continued stay reviews and monitoring in collaboration with participant and members of the treatment team.
· Provide individual and group counseling sessions.
· Identifies and responds to crises.
· Provide clinical consultation with referral resources, family members and others to help support participants in their treatment
· Provide an initial individual orientation for each new participant.
· Provide appropriate referrals for services needed and follow-up.
· Participate in clinical staffing and be able to gather and report participant progress as directed by supervisor.
· Maintain participants rights and confidentially.
· Comply with agency policies and procedures.
· Participate in regular agency staff meetings and training.
· Perform other duties as assigned by program manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associates or bachelor’s degree in the Social or Human Sciences of Social Work from a regionally accredited educational institution which has U.S. Department of Education approval, or,
· Minimum of two years in college working on degree is preferred.
· Must have at least one (2) years of counseling experience in the substance abuse field; Medication Assisted Treatment/Methadone clinic preferred.
· Must be CADC certified by IODAPCA
· Must have knowledge of Illinois DUI laws.
· Must have knowledge of ASAM criteria and DMS V diagnosis.
· Must have good time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced MAT clinic.
· Must ascribe to providing Trauma Informed Care to program pts.
· Basic knowledge of computer keyboard preferred.
Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
