Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled VDOT System Administrator to support the Transportation Operations Center. This role involves configuring and maintaining Linux and Windows servers, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring system integrity and security. The ideal candidate will work both independently and collaboratively to achieve service objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Configure and deploy new / replacement Linux (REDHAT) and Windows Operating Systems Servers.
- Manage desktop / laptop / server hardware and provide Tier III support.
- Perform daily system monitoring and regular security checks to prevent intrusions.
- Maintain documentation for system architecture and change history.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and manage time / resource constraints.
