We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team as a lead engineer. This position will provide hands-on experience in electrical system design, harness fabrication, and system integration, supporting both manufacturing and external vendor partnerships.
Job Requirements and Expectations:
- Thorough understanding of ABYC marine electrical standards
- Familiarity with ISO CE rules for marine vessels as it pertains to marine electrical standards
- Experience with 2/24VDC systems
- Knowledge of 120/220V 60Hz systems and 220V 50Hz systems
- Understanding of NMEA2000 and J1939 network communication protocols
- Familiarity with marine electrolysis and cathodic protection systems
The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot electrical system faults efficiently, create electrical harness fabrication drawings, and develop quality assurance processes to ensure safe and sustainable systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create electrical ladder schematics for circuit documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers for innovative and proprietary projects
- Provide cost estimates for upfit and new project systems
- Utilize programmable logic controllers into system design and testing
