What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager / KIA of Manhattan position at Elite?
KIA of Manhattan is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team at Elite. The Service Manager will oversee all operations of the service department, including staff management, customer service, and ensuring high-quality automotive repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit and retain technicians, advisors, and other fixed operations personnel while creating a positive work environment with a winning mindset.
- Forecast goals and objectives for direct departments.
- Maintain relations with OEM and exceed all metrics, standards and KPI’s including Customer Service Index rating.
- Focus on customer retention by building reputation of quality and service.
- Oversee organization, cleanliness, maintenance, and effectiveness of all fixed operations departments including Service, Parts, and Detail departments.
- Consistently and effectively sell our services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity.
- Ensure that all work is completed to proper specifications with the highest quality
- Assist with daily physical opening of store prior to standard work hours or earlier as workload demand and closing of store after standard hours or later as workload demands
- Assist with daily accounting closing and balancing procedures
- Continually strive to go the “extra mile” for our customers, and improve performance of the store
Qualifications:
Reasonable knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
· Experience in automotive customer service and service sales
· Proficiency in Windows based computer software
· Experience with R.O. Writer software application required.
· High school diploma or GED
· Associates degree or undergraduate degree helpful, but not required
