Seeking a Clinical Technician / Informaticist to support our client, a hospital system in Fishersville VA. We are seeking a Clinical professional who is a EHR / IT enthusiast to support several IT transformations. The selected candidate will assist the organization in the implementation, redesign and maintenance of the current EHR. As well as assist in quality improvement strategies to improve patient, and provider satisfaction as well as improved patient outcomes. Final to applying best practices to the management of the clinical information system life cycle and facilitate strategic clinical information technology to support excellence in patient care. Further responsibilities include :
- Assists leadership and IT with clinic EHR implementation and support.
- Suggest changes to the existing systems, procedures and configurations to take advantage of new concepts, methods, technology and health care information processing requirements to CMO, CMIO and CIO.
- Appropriately escalates issues that may compromise patient safety, or adversely impact clinical workflow or project timelines, goals or budget.
- Analyzes clinic issues and requests, determines feasibility and need, and works with appropriate departments for changes.
- Create, edit and maintain analytical reports for EHR. Analyzes data for strengths and weaknesses and makes recommendations for improvement. Responsible for the analysis and accuracy of reports for improvement strategies in optimizing utilization of the EHR.
- Submits status reports toward project goals as requested.
- Maintains current knowledge of standards, patient safety goals and regulatory requirements.
- Exhibits effective written and verbal communication skills with all staffing levels.
- Builds and promotes effective working relationships with multi-discipline teams and departments.
- Maintains current knowledge of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, including but not limited to Meaningful Use requirements, ICD-10, and PQRS.
- Working closely with Quality and Risk Department to create and standardize policies and procedures.
