Elite Technical is seeking a HR Generalist / Employee Relations Specialist for our customer, a major Healthcare Payor organization. The selected candidate will partner with employees, managers and Human Resources Business Partners to investigate and bring resolution to employee relations issues that provide fair and consistent treatment to all employees, and in a manner consistent with the company's policies, procedures, and state and federal law. Responsibilities include :
60% Conducts basic / moderately complex HR investigations, including intake processes, investigation planning and interviews, recommendation and determination, and reporting / insights analysis. Communicates and updates status of investigations to relevant managers and HRBPs. Collects and maintains evidence, including testimonial and documentary evidence, for use in drawing investigative conclusions. Draft summary reports detailing findings resulting from investigations for review with senior staff.
20% Provides counsel and advice to managers and HRBPs regarding employee relations issues, submits recommendations on addressing employee relations matters and assists with taking steps in response.
Analyzes employee relations and other data trends to address and mitigate risk and support and reinforce company culture. Advises employees and management on the interpretation of policies, procedures and values of the organization.
10% Maintains knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations, and periodically reviews and updates applicable standards, trends and issues affecting the company work environment and policies.
10% Partner with senior with staff on the development of training for managers, employees, and HRBPs.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in HR related functions would be preferred, not required
- Experience : 3 years experience in HR type of position (HRBP, Employee Relations, HR Generalist, HR Investigations, HR Laws, etc-)
- Must have strong investigation background around performance reviews / dispute resolutions addressing and resolving employee relations concerns, performance management and workplace investigations. Sound investigative techniques is critical
- Familiar with employment laws (FMLA, Title 7, disabilities act, etc-.) is required
- Navex, EthicsPoint inviestgation case tracking = Big plus
- Ability to exercise independent judgment under general supervision
- Strong writing, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling skills
- Ability to advocate and influence decisions
- Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough
