Elixia is looking for a PRN Psychometric Clinical Rater!

Summary : The Psychometric Clinical Rater will be responsible for conducting and interpreting quantitative tests for the measurement of psychological variables related to specific diseases and / or disorders as part of the required study assessments for subjects participating in a clinical trial. The Clinical Rater will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The Clinical Rater must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and to respond to multiple priorities. The Clinical Rater must demonstrate proficiency using a computer, the internet, telephone and other office equipment.

Responsibilities : The Psychometric Clinical Rater Attends Site Initiation Visits and / or training in-service for all current protocols.

  • Administers and scores both psychiatric and psychometric assessments, including the MADRS (Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale) and other relevant rating scales.
  • Conducts assessments for conditions such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, ADHD, Alzheimer’s Disease, and other CNS-related disorders.
  • Perform psychiatric diagnostic interviews and psychometric testing as part of clinical trial evaluations.
  • Collaborates with principal investigators, research coordinators, and other study team members to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data collection.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, and timely visit source documentation as well as sponsor required information.
  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of data entered into study databases and provides feedback or clarification when needed.
  • Monitors patients for any adverse events or changes in their clinical status, reporting findings to the clinical research team promptly.
  • Provides patients with clear instructions on assessment procedures and answers any questions they may have.
  • Assists in the preparation of study reports and presentations by providing input on clinical assessment results.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and ensure data security at all times.
  • Accurately completes necessary sponsor trainings per clinical trial requirements.
  • Participates in regular training and professional development to stay updated on clinical rating scales and assessment tools.
  • Attends study meetings as needed.
  • Occasionally travel to Company sites, Investigator meetings, and / or Company meetings as required.
  • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by your manager.

Requirements :

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology, Psychometrics, Neuroscience, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychometrics, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), or other relevant psychiatric certifications may be required based on the responsibilities of the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and scoring psychiatric rating scales and psychometric assessments.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting the MADRS (Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale), as well as other relevant clinical scales.
  • Experience with a range of psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia) and CNS-related conditions.
  • Experience in clinical research or clinical trials is highly preferred.
  • Competency Requirements :

  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and disease-specific clinical scales (e.g., neurological or psychiatric assessments).
  • Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
  • Travel to Sponsor required meetings as needed.
  • Exposure to human bodily fluids.
  • Occasional weekend schedules.
