Description
The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Theater and A / V Systems Technician. Under the supervision of the Director of Theater & AV Systems, the Theater and A / V Systems Technician will operate and maintain the museum's multi-sensory theaters, exhibits, and live performance spaces. The Theater and A / V Systems Technician oversees all operational aspects of show lighting and Audio, show equipment, show action equipment and AV systems related to the Museum's multi-sensory presentations. The Theater and A / V Systems Technician is responsible for the initiation of the multi-sensory presentation in accordance with the show schedules and the safety of other staff and patrons in the theater facilities. The Theater and A / V Systems Technician is also responsible for controlling audio and limited lighting of live performances, Special Events, and presentations throughout the Museum.
Requirements
- Operate the multi-sensory theater and related equipment during multi-sensory presentations and alternate use presentations.
- Execute theater maintenance programs and maintain logbooks.
- Manage the security of all show AV systems, show lighting systems and show action equipment.
- Operate show AV systems and lighting systems manually or by other controls and on cues from a stage manager or event coordinator, as necessary.
- Open and close facilities according to SOP and schedules.
- Prepare facilities inspection reports, equipment inspection reports, and logbooks.
- Ensure operational readiness of the Victory Theater (Beyond All Boundaries), USS TANG Experience, Louisiana Pavilion, United States Freedom Pavilion, Stage Door Canteen, Campaigns of Courage Pavilion, Freedom Theater, Liberation Pavilion, and Expressions of America.
- Complete Audio-Visual startup and shutdown assignments prior to the morning opening and after the last show in the evening.
- Setup and assist livestreaming internal events, Operate Audio and lighting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors of the Theater & AV department.
- Work closely with volunteers and guests on a daily basis.
