The Elizabeth Layton Center is looking for a knowledgeable Psychosocial Team Leader for our children's department. This is a full-time Monday through Friday position. EOE

The Psychosocial Team Leader will provide oversight of rehabilitation programming, staffing and delivery of services under the direction of the CBS Director. Additionally, the Psychosocial Team Leader will provide direct services to clients. In coordination with therapeutic staff, the Team Leader will assist youth and families by providing information, education, and training to build knowledge, develop skills, and change attitudes with a goal of increasing the consumer’s independence, productivity, self-determination, integration, and inclusion in the community. The Team Leader’s time will be spent mentoring case management staff, providing field supervision, and training new case management staff, coordinating psychosocial group programming, coordinating services to be provided by Youth Specialists and providing case management services to youth in the family home, educational setting, program site or other community settings, with minimal time spent at the Center. This position reports directly to the CBS Coordinator or designee.
Here are some of the Major Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Case Managers including involvement in hiring/interviewing and initial/ongoing training. Will assist in assigning cases, coordinating scheduling, providing oversight/field supervision including coaching.
- Conducts team meetings to coordinate services.
- Requires on-site and/or availability via cell phone for problem-solving and monitoring of case management activities during work hours.
- Monitor expectations related to quality and timeliness of documentation, direct service expectations, and other various expectations.
- Maintains ongoing caseload(50%) of SED youth supporting client’s treatment plan goals and advocacy in the areas of: Education/Vocation, Residential, Financial, Health , Leisure, and Social Supports utilizing community resources on behalf of the client as needed
- Meets direct service expectations
- Meets deadlines for daily paperwork and reports
- Provides quality documentation
- Work one late night per week
- Review and assign psychosocial group referrals to the appropriate group. When a referral cannot be assigned to a group or is placed on a waiting list, the Team Leader will contact referring therapist or case manager as to the status and document this in the chart.
- Conducts weekly team meetings with CBS staff who co-lead psychosocial groups. Monitor and assist in planning for group activities allowing creativity in programming as related to mental health needs noted on the treatment plans.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience necessary to meet State of Kansas licensing regulations
- Possesses the minimum qualifications as documented in the Kansas Case Management Program Standards
- Familiarity with mental health theory and practice
- Minimum of 2 years of case management experience or equivalent
