SUMMARY:
The Fleet and Facilities Team Lead performs duties related to assisting the Facilities Coordinator in supervising facilities and vehicle maintenance personnel. This position reports directly to the Facilities Coordinator.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Facilities Coordinator with building inspections and fire safety preventative measures, i.e. fire alarm systems, emergency light and exit light inspections, and sprinkler system inspections.
- Assist Facilities Coordinator with maintaining cleaning supply inventory.
- Supervise vehicle and facilities maintenance personnel
- Assist Facilities Coordinator with supervision of other facilities personnel
- Travel to remote vendors to acquire facility supplies
- Order facility supplies when needed
- Maintain state and company vehicle usage and maintenance records
- Perform vehicle inspections and coordinate inhouse and vendor repairs
- Assist Facilities Coordinator in determining whether repairs should be done inhouse or through a vendor
- Coordinate vehicle repairs with vendors
- Coordinate State and insurance vehicle inspections
- Manage vehicle maintenance tracking spreadsheets and help desk ticket system
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee
- Complies with ELC policies and procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma required
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required
- Computer proficiency required along with proficiency using Excel
- Must be regular in attendance
- Must have valid KS Driver’s License and reliable transportation
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to be self-motivated to recognize facility needs of ELC with limited supervision
- Ability to navigate computer and use email and Excel
- Ability to diagnose repair and maintenance needs for vehicles and perform other tasks as directed
- Ability to relate positively with others
- Communicates directly and effectively in a cooperative manner
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety roles, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.
