Elizabeth Layton Center is looking for a full-time Receptionist for our Franklin County Annex location in Ottawa, KS. This is a Monday - Friday position. EOE

The center is named after Elizabeth Layton, an artist who gained recognition for her expressive drawings depicting her struggles with depression. SUMMARY:
The Receptionist greets all clients and visitors to the Elizabeth Layton Center and provides support to our care delivery system. This position is located in Ottawa at our Franklin County Annex and reports directly to the Operations Director.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Greets all clients and visitors to the Elizabeth Layton Center
- Answers multi-line telephone system, assess calls for emergency, screen/transfer calls, and take messages as needed
- Collect fees and other pertinent information when client arrives
- Copies medical cards and insurance cards, when necessary
- Enters/verifies information related to new clients and completes new client accounts in electronic medical record.
- Informs clinician that client has arrived
- Enters information into the appointment scheduler program
- Makes reminder calls, reschedules appointments, and back-fills provider schedules
- Obtains appropriate releases of information, when necessary
- Arrives for work on time
- Ability to be pleasant, friendly, and helpful to staff and visitors at all times
- Ability to retain relevant vital information and relay information to others as appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee
- Complies with ELC policies and procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from High School or the equivalent
- 3 years clerical or general office experience required
- Previous computer, typing and data entry experience required
- 3 years of customer service experience required
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
- Ability to perform tasks accurately, effectively and in a timely manner
- Some knowledge of the procedures and policies of the assigned department
- General knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
other employees, officials and the public - Ability to safely perform major job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
