SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing assessment and treatment services to adults and children with mental health and substance use concerns. The employee will participate in after-hours emergency coverage as part of a shared rotation schedule. The employee reports directly to the Clinical Director or their designee.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops initial assessment and formulates treatment plans
- Conducts a variety of treatment approaches including group, individual, and family therapy
- Confers with other staff and agency representatives as appropriate
- Prepares a variety of reports as necessary
- Maintains appropriate records for reporting, evaluation, accounting, and clinical purposes
- Meets direct service expectations
- Meets deadlines for daily paperwork and reports
- Provides quality documentation
- Provides back-up emergency coverage
- Occasionally drives to provide mobile or remote services to clients within the community
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee
- Complies with ELC policies and procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Possesses minimum academic credentials and licensure that qualify for Medicaid outpatient reimbursement for practice at ELC
- Possesses LAC/LMAC/LCAC License
- Dual licensure required
- Familiarity with mental health theory and practice
- Familiarity with diagnostic and treatment planning approaches relevant to professional discipline
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance
- Ability to successfully pass all required background checks (Adult & Child Abuse Registry, KBI, NCIC. Etc.)

- Familiarity with basic ethical considerations in the mental health field
