Job Summary :
The Development Assistant will serve as support staff to the development team.
Essential Job Functions include :
- Prepare fundraising materials.
- Assist with event logistics and planning.
- Generate trust among donors and potential donors by being authentically interested in their needs and interests, and by creating a positive image through enthusiastic interaction via face-to-face meetings, phone, email, regular mail, and on social media.
- Create marketing and promotional materials.
- Attend community engagement events.
- Assist with donor communication.
- Support effective volunteer leadership recruitment, stewardship, and engagement.
- Produce regular messaging and newsletter.
- Record donor information through a CRM program.
- Assist with volunteer training programs to ensure volunteers understand their roles, expectations, and organizational goals.
- Assign volunteers to appropriate roles that match their skills and interests.
- Advocate for the value of volunteering both within the organization and externally, raising awareness of the impact volunteers make.
- Foster relationships with community organizations and build partnerships that support the volunteer program.
- Recruit partners to participate in our industries program.
Qualifications - Knowledge / Skills / Abilities include :
Work Environment :
Physical Demands : This role requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, repetitious computer and phone computer, and talking to people. Lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
Travel : Not frequent.
