ES offers an elevated assortment of plants in our nursery for our customers and clients. We are currently seeking a Garden Associate who is passionate about the care and conditioning of plants to maintain our shopping environment for our customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome every Client that enters the store.
- Knowledge of plants both native & imported along with the brand inspiration — tell the Elizabeth Stuart story.
- Provide high level customer service and hospitality to customers, garden designers, and landscapers.
- Working knowledge of SC plants and weather conditions to include temperatures, humidity, rain, etc.
- Maintain a positive attitude and take initiative.
- Maintain the distinct Elizabeth Stuart aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere, and culture.
- Daily maintenance of plant material as well as the upkeep and appearance of the entire garden space.
- Partner with the store team to execute, achieve and exceed the goals of the store.
- Accurately execute operational tasks such as ringing sales, receiving stock, loading merchandise and maintaining the look of the garden.
- Assist with merchandising of plants and pots, daily watering, trimming, fertilizing, weeding, and cleaning.
- Participate in store functions as directed by the store management such as floor sets, client events, store meetings and physical inventory.
- Strong Work ethic with the ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Outdoor job responsibilities
- Operate general loading equipment (shopping carts, dollies, hand trucks, etc).
- Standing is required for entire work shift
- Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 years of horticulture, nursery, or agriculture experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of plants, landscape, and horticultural practices.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
- Takes initiative to perform daily duties and execute tasks without direction
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with and as a team.
- Required to work non-traditional hours: Saturdays & Sundays, early mornings, and holidays.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
