Elizabethtown College seeks an Adjunct Instructor of Applied Trumpet and Jazz Band for the fall 2025 semester.
The successful candidate will demonstrate significant musicianship, teaching experience, and expertise relevant to teaching Jazz Ensemble. The Jazz Band meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm. We seek candidates who have strong reputations and are able to contribute to the recruitment of trumpet students. This position will also teach a brass methods class.

Job Duties
The successful candidate will teach applied trumpet lessons and Jazz Band on Wednesday evenings. The trumpet studio currently has a very low enrollment of one student. We are looking for a candidate who can recruit and build the strength of our trumpet studio. Some additional compensation is possible to support the recruitment of a larger studio.
Required Qualifications
A master’s or doctoral degree in music.
Relevant professional performance experience on trumpet.
Experience relevant to teaching a Jazz Ensemble
