The Marketing program in the School of Business at Elizabethtown College invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor or Assistant Teaching Professor (full-time, nine-month position; rank determined based on qualification) preferred start date is August 2025. This position will be a face-to-face (in-person) classroom role.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, student-focused teacher, capable of and dedicated to growing a new marketing program. Courses include Principles of Marketing, and a selection of the following: Sales Management, Retail Management, Digital Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Management, and others as needed, with the opportunity to develop new courses across marketing areas. The College is looking to hire diverse faculty to support our increasingly diverse student body. The School and faculty are committed to preparing students for lifelong learning, service, and professional outcomes. Approximately 30% of Elizabethtown College students are first-generation college students.

Job Duties
The School of Business is committed to providing students with cutting-edge business skills, a personalized learning experience, and strong ties to the business community. The candidate is expected to engage in outreach activities with local organizations, serve on the school and college-wide committees, advise, and mentor students, and engage in curricular review and ongoing professional development. Depending on whether the candidate is tenure track or teaching professor track, the candidate would be expected to pursue an active research agenda, which takes a broad view of scholarship (discovery, integration, application, teaching and learning), and/or to engage in program development, corporate outreach, and other such professionally-oriented activities. The typical teaching load is three, four-credit courses in each of the fall and spring semesters, and faculty are expected to involve students in high-impact practices, such as research and internships, whenever possible.
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold at least an MBA, with a specialization in marketing, marketing analytics, or related business disciplines. Relevant professional experience is preferred. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate teaching excellence, a commitment to professional development and growth, a service mindset, and a commitment to collaborative and collegial processes. They are also expected to uphold the values of Elizabethtown College and have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate liberal arts teaching.
