What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Elizabethtown College?
The Center for Community and Civic Engagement at Elizabethtown College is currently accepting applications for a Program Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to provide program management and administrative assistance to the Director of the Center for Community and Civic Engagement.
Job Duties
- Coordinate assessment, evaluation, and reporting of CCCE events and programming
- Manage the programs initiated through the Center for Community and Civic Engagement, such as Federal Community Service Work-Study, Service Learning, Community-Based Learning, and Volunteer placements
- Coordinate, plan, and oversee special programs on campus and in the community, such as Day of Service events and alternative break trips (ex. Into the Streets, fall break trips/service trips, mentoring, and literacy programs.)
- Maintain records and paperwork for data collection and statical analysis of programs and events
- Assist with the maintenance and staffing of the Blue Jay Pantry and Blue Jay Career closet
- Process and reconcile invoices as necessary
- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, agendas, and other documents as necessary, order office supplies
- Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders (ex. Faculty, financial aid, community partners, etc.)
- Hire, train, and supervise student office assistants, including coordinating schedules, conducting regular meetings, and providing evaluative feedback on their performance
- Expand, develop, and coordinate relationships with community organizations that enhance and create partnerships that benefit the campus and the community
- Assist with budget monitoring and control as needed, including data entry and analysis
- Create marketing and recruiting materials for Center for Community and Civic Engagement programs and events; including management of social media and webpage updates
- Participate in training(s) and complete certifications (ex. ServSafe, Bonner Leader Training)
- Coordinate voter registration, engagement, and education activities for the campus including data collections and programming
- Serve as the primary contact for the for Bonner Leader Program including mentoring, program coordination and data collection
- Coordinate the community work study (CWS) program, including arranging CWS placements, liaising with Financial Aid, approving CWS payroll
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners for various programs and events
- Serve as point of contact for community-based learning (CBL) courses, including planning campus-wide CBL events, presenting in CBL courses, working with faculty to arrange CBL placements, and answering student questions
- Organize and lead efforts for the delivery of presentations designed to increase student awareness of and participation in community engagement, civic engagement, and community-based learning
- Coordinate special projects such as Poverty Simulation, Angel Tree, Social Justice Fair, etc.
- Collaborate with the campus community including CGUP, the offices of the Chaplain and Religious Life; Diversity, Inclusion, and Title IX; Office of Marketing and Communications; and Admissions to provide information about service opportunities and promote participation in community and civic engagement among the student body and college community
- Collaborate with deans and faculty to infuse community-based learning and research opportunities into the curriculum where possible and to develop and offer impactful co-curricular and extracurricular service experience
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required;
Master’s preferred; plus, two years of office and programming experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires a valid driver’s license for business travel purposes (individual must have a US drivers’ license for at least three years). Individual must be in their current role for one year with positive employment record.
