Job Summary
The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing marketing, communications, and campaign initiatives for the organization. This role requires a creative individual with the ability to effectively communicate the mission, programs, and stories of the organization across various platforms.
Responsibilities
Media Management
- Create, manage, and post social media content across all platforms.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media calendar.
- Design and distribute newsletters, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and goals.
- Generate lists, content, graphics, and verbiage to support online presence and outreach.
Marketing Material Creation
- Design engaging marketing and sales collateral, including:
- Informational packets
- One-pagers
- PowerPoint presentations
- Videos and digital content
- Ensure all materials are consistent with the organization's branding and style guidelines.
Campaign Management & Content Creation
- Develop and execute giving campaigns, mass mailings, emails, and appeals.
- Write narratives, verbiage, and design graphics for campaigns.
- Manage deadlines, pull recipient lists, and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
- Compile media assets such as graphics, photos, mission moments, and themes for use in digital campaigns.
- Attend program meetings to collect stories, photos, and program updates to support content creation and cultivation efforts.
Marketing Research & Data Analytics
- Conduct research on partnership, funding, and solicitation opportunities.
- Identify and track potential sponsorships.
- Analyze marketing campaigns and develop reports for executive and board review, offering insights and suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, education, or related field experience.
An experienced marketing professional with
- Design experience in Adobe and Canva
- Web design and management experience
- Social media and email management experience
- Ability to analyze effectiveness of campaigns
