Responsibilities of an Activity Director:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
- Coordinate and schedule recreational activities, outings, and special events.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including nursing and therapy teams, to ensure activities align with residents' care plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify residents' interests, preferences, and abilities.
- Maintain records of activity participation and resident engagement.
- Recruit, train, and supervise activity staff and volunteers.
Qualifications of an Activity Director:
- Previous experience working in a nursing home or long-term care setting, preferably in a recreational or activity-focused role.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to activities in nursing homes.
- Responsible, ready, and eager to work
