JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Adult Center Supervisor the Trip Chaperone is responsible for the supervision of trips for various ages and interest groups.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Escort day trips as scheduled.
- Maintain appropriate attendance records and other report forms in accordance with District policy.
- Assist Adult Center Coordinator in evaluating individual trips through participant verbal and written feedback.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with participants and co-workers, promoting customer service policies.
- Follows Park District safety rules, exercises safe work practices and follows all emergency procedures.
- Willing to drive a 14 passenger bus for local trips
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
- Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Physical agility to maintain mobility from site to site.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Subject to modified/flexible work schedule.
- Able to function under occasional loud and stressful conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Flexibility, communication skills and patience.
- Displays desire and interest in working with adult population
- Able to obtain a Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid within 90 days
- Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
- Must demonstrate good safety awareness and judgment.
- Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
