Job description
A family-owned property manager and owner is seeking to employ a tradesman with a background in plumbing to work with a team of skilled craftsman on in-house renovations of apartments.
Requirements for this position are: (1) a full range of basic plumbing skills (braising, soldering, setting shower pans and tubs, and installing other plumbing fixtures and appliances, and (2) fully participating in the work of the renovation team, which may include carpentry, trim work, tile installation, surgical demolition, painting, cleanup, etc., depending on the candidate’s past experience, ability to learn new skills, and the directions of the team leader.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on plumbing experience is required. The work will focus on various apartments in various buildings, with the bulk to take place in Nassau County, with occasional work in Manhattan.
This job is perfect for the person who loves GC work, with an emphasis on plumbing, and seeks a predictable flow of jobs in a select number of pre-established locations. This is also a major opportunity for a person to learn a wide range of construction-related skills.
Salary range: $25 to $29 p/hr (depending on experience) plus reimbursement of expenses.
