What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Elk Mountain RV Supply?
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, Quicken, or similar programs
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
