Elk Rapids Engineering, a subsidiary of Star Cutter Company, is a family owned, globally recognized, manufacturer of high-performance tools and cutter Grinders. We are seeking a Machine Build Lead to join our team. This individual will execute the entire build process by accurately interpreting blueprints and instructions. What you’ll be doing:
- Performs and oversees the assembly, rebuild and repair of equipment according to company documentation and customer expectations. Meeting established schedules and quality standards while maintaining detailed communication.
- Performs and oversees the manufacturing/re-manufacturing of unit components, tooling, and fixtures.
- Maintains specific inventory, initiating requisitions for purchasing to ensure inventory levels are kept.
- Maintains cleanliness, organization and maintenance of the work area and machinery.
- Communicate with leadership of departmental needs and provide updates regularly.
- Assists leadership with other projects as needed.
What we ask you to bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of experience with Machinery builds.
- Knowledge of Manufactuing software including ERP systems.
- Ability to read blueprints.
