JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the EVREDCO Fuel Venture General Manager, the Cashier will be the forefront of Customer Service. Greeting customers as they first walk in and ensuring they find everything they need. The Cashier will be responsible for all transactions at the cash register. As well as serving as a back-up stocker.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be added to, changed, or deleted at the sole discretion of management.
- Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
- Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customers’ purchases.
- Bags purchases if needed.
- Processes return transactions.
- Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
- Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.
- Verifies Government issued identification for Tobacco/Alcohol and credit card transactions.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
- Provides pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Serves as a back-up stocker. Stocking shelves and rotating product
- Any other duties assigned by Management
