PROBATION ASSISTANT-ADULT
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services
HIRING RATE: $21.09-$23.43/hour based on education and position related
experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing caseload management and oversight; maintaining communication with offenders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma/GED; Associate degree in social services or criminal justice preferred
· Must be self-motivated and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality; must demonstrate strong communication skills, strong time-management skills and possess the ability to work well with others
· Knowledge of and ability to make practical application of local, state, and federal regulations/statutes, standard policies and procedures, adult/juvenile criminal code, and legal terminology of criminal justice system
· Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices
· Pre-employment background check and drug screen
