Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Track Maintenance Role. This role involves ensuring the upkeep and safety of the grounds, track, and facilities, as well as providing general maintenance and repair services to ensure a high standard of safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality across all areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track Maintenance:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair the track and barriers to ensure its safety and optimal functionality.
- Perform routine inspections of track surfaces, identifying and addressing any wear or damage.
- Conduct necessary repairs, including resurfacing and clearing debris, to ensure track conditions meet safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain drainage systems along the track to prevent flooding or erosion.
- Grounds Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining flower beds.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Ensure that outdoor areas, such as walkways, parking lots, and pathways, are free of debris, and perform general upkeep.
- Monitor the health of plants and trees, providing necessary care and treatment.
- General Maintenance:
- Perform routine checks and repairs on equipment, buildings, and other facilities.
- Identify areas requiring improvement or repair and perform minor electrical, plumbing, or structural maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist with snow removal during the winter months and any emergency maintenance requests.
- Work closely with the facilities manager to plan and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
- Ensure the correct use of equipment, tools, and machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Report any safety hazards or damaged equipment immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or training in grounds or track maintenance is a plus).
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, track maintenance, or general facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using various landscaping and maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of minor electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs is a plus.
