We’re fusing high-performance engineering with stunning design to build EVs that turn heads and break boundaries. We’re a tight-knit team of innovators, builders, and problem-solvers who move fast and get things done.
We Need a Hands-On Powertrain Integration Technician
We’re looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, getting their hands dirty, and making high-performance EVs come to life. You’ll be the glue that brings all the powertrain components together—debugging, wiring, testing, and tuning everything until it works seamlessly. This is not just about installing parts; it’s about making sure the entire system functions flawlessly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Make it all work – Integrate motors, inverters, battery packs, and controllers into a cohesive system.
- Debug & diagnose – Track down electrical gremlins and fix issues before they become problems.
- Program & reflash – Work with VCUs and other electronic components to ensure proper operation.
- Lay out test benches – Design and build test setups to validate system performance before vehicles hit the road.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers – Implement and test the latest software updates in a dynamic environment.
- Push the limits – Work closely with the team to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with EV powertrains – You know your way around motors, inverters, battery packs, and controllers.
- Strong electrical & mechanical skills – Wiring, soldering, crimping, and troubleshooting are second nature to you.
- Ability to program and flash VCUs – You don’t need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable handling firmware updates.
- Problem-solving mindset – You don’t wait for instructions; you figure things out and make it happen.
- Startup mentality – You’re adaptable, hungry to learn, and ready to take on whatever challenges come your way.
Why Elkington Electric?
- Be on the cutting edge – Work with the latest tech in one of the most exciting industries on the planet.
- Fast-moving, high-impact environment – Your work will directly shape the performance of our vehicles.
- No red tape, just results – Small team, big ambitions, and zero corporate nonsense.
- Competitive pay & benefits – We take care of our people.
If you’re ready to be a key player in building the future of EVs and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on role, we want to hear from you.
