Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic activities. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, safety practices, and water confidence. Your role will not only involve teaching swimming skills but also fostering a positive and encouraging environment for all participants.
This position will contract to teach evening swim lessons approximately four hours per week. Opportunity exists to also teach private lessons.
Duties
- Lead teach group swim beginner swim lessons.
- Educate swimmers on water safety, swimming techniques, and proper breathing methods.
- Monitor students' progress.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Skills
- Background in swim instruction or related aquatic activities.
- Confidence to lead a group of lifeguards and students.
- Ability to educate effectively while being patient and encouraging with students.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with students and parents.
- Ability to climb, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to swim instruction.
